The Woman’s Hospital of Texas

Located in the heart of Houston, the Woman’s Hospital of Texas is considered to be the premier facility dedicated to the health of women and newborns has been open for 40 years. The hospital facility boasts more than 650 board certified physicians, but the reason we have included it on our list of Houston prenatal resources are the variety of classes they offer to expectant and new parents. They provide breastfeeding education and support through their Breastfeeding Basics and Breastfeeding Multiples courses. Additionally, they have courses to help you prepare for everyday life once your baby arrives through their Life with Baby, as well as, Infant CPR and Safety. If you already have kids and are considering delivering at The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, they have both Toddler Tours and a Sibling Preparation class to help your older children prepare for the arrival of your newest family member.

Central Care

Central Care Integrated Health Services has locations all over the greater Houston area and exists to provide accessible, affordable and high-quality comprehensive healthcare services. They accomplish this goal through patient-centered education, in addition to wellness and outreach programs in an effort to eliminate health care disparities making it a great addition to our list of Houston prenatal resources. They provide routine physicals, immunizations, and sick child visits with special Medicaid programs that give your child free medical checkups from birth and free dental checkups for children six months and older. They also offer a vaccine program for children whose parents may not be able to afford them.

Motherhood Center

Nicknamed the “Mommy Country Club,” the Motherhood Center made our list of Houston prenatal resources because it is a getaway for new and expectant mothers.  Within the confines of the center, there is a massage spa, yoga studio, in-store boutique, educational space, photography studio, and placement services area. The educational area hosts classes on pregnancy, parenting, and courses for children. The placement services area, on the other hand, allows you to be connected with top-rated baby doulas, lactation consultants, sleep coaches, babysitters, and nannies.
